December Photos

Here are some more photos from Elder Chuch. All were taken in December 2006.

Once again, the photo descriptions below are mostly in his own words. Any comments by me are shown in italics. Norm.

Posing. Vain jangeling.

The day of J. & J.'s baptism.

A. dressed up in the 'Armor of God". For one family home evening we made the armor of God out of cardboard and talked about it and dressed A. up in it and threw socks at him. He was loving it. After the lesson they all played around in it and threw socks at each other. I ended up losing a pair of socks, but I got one for Christmas & bought one at the dollar store where we found G.

E. (another little girl at FHE) in the armor.

Elder Vaz and me in our raingear.

A tie trade with Elder Klc. I traded these two dog ugly ties for his nice silver tie. I don't know what he was thinking.

Santa taking orders good little boys & girls & elders. (at the ward Christmas party)

Elder Vaz and his guitar. He was taught how to play one song out here, which he always plays. It's by Shania Twain or one of those country bumpkins. It's called "You say it best when you say nothing at all".

Elder Vaz and Elder Jones by the Christmas tree. Note the Angel Moroni on top.

The city of Houston on our way to Christmas zone conference.

Me and good old Elder Verstoppen during the gift exchange.

How often do you get to read the BOM in a limo? The elders were invited to participate in an annual event called "Elves & More". They helped give out thousands of new bikes to disadvantaged kids. One of the members in the area helped sponsor the activity and got the elders involved. They were transported to the event in a limo.

Also, how often do you get to see this? We thought using the limo would be a lot more effective in getting less actives to church.

An aerial view of the bikes at the Elves and More event.

The loot on Christmas Eve.

Opening gifts from home.
